Hello, I’m Mercedes. I’m from San Francisco, where I literally grew up in my father’s hair salon. I moved to Austin in 2005, where I started to make a name for myself. I’ve been doing hair professionally for 15 years now.

If I had to pick my three strongest suits, they would be:

My ability to listen: This involves not only being able to produce my client’s vision, but to also hear what they do not like and what they are not asking for.

My honesty: I’m really good at assessing what’s best for my client’s hair, what will work for them and what won’t, and then sharing that idea with them. That’s what I want when I go to a stylist, so that is what I give.

My broad knowledge of different eras and styles for hair: It’s important to not only keep up on current trends, but to know what came before them from fashion movements, music, and pop culture in general.

Basically I feel like hair is your most important accessory and when it looks great you feel great.
